Maker’s Mark Bottle Render

While studying Technical Drawing 2 (3D Solid Modeling – SolidWorks / DAI 421) at San Francisco State University I was given an assignment to 3D model a Maker’s Mark whisky bottle. The main challenge was the square shaped base that transitions into a cylindrical neck. The optional challenge was to add more details like a cork, embossed logo, label, and/or melted wax. I opted to do it all, and for some of my earliest 3D modeling and rendering work, I am still quite pleased with how it all came out. I tried a few different renders using different labels, parts, and techniques which you can see below. I was personally very impressed by how realistic the partially filled glass bottle looked.
